Medical Definition of LUMBODORSAL FASCIA

:  a large fascial band on each side of the back extending from the iliac crest and the sacrum to the ribs and the intermuscular septa of the muscles of the neck, adhering medially to the spinous processes of the vertebrae, and continuing laterally with the aponeuroses of certain of the abdominal muscles
